Welcome all!

52:37
For anyone just joining us: If you have any questions for our presenters, please feel free to ask them in the chat. We will address them at the end in our Q & A.

55:40
Were the assessments created and delivered through the LMS, reside in publisher's system (e.g., Cengage MindTap), or a mix of both?

59:09
Are these graders able to provide feedback but not see the overall grade for the students they are giving feedback on?

01:04:47
1) Does Crowdmark stay up to date with changes in the SIS late adds & drops (i.e. constant auto-synch w/ class roster from SIS)?2) And, can the instructor assign marking to TAs by manually created groups or only by SIS-generated section enrolments?

01:14:53
In what aspects Crowdmark is different from Moodle.

01:19:16
is this being used to primarily grade exams - what about written assignments or discussions?

01:20:11
Our panelists will answer questions shortly, at the end of the presentation. For any questions that are not answered by the end, please feel free to follow up with Crowdmark at support@crowdmark.com

01:21:43
Does Crowdmark offer a paperless way to take exams online?

01:23:23
We appreciate your feedback! As we continue with our session, please take note of our brief session evaluation and fill it out before leaving the online room today: https://survey.alchemer.com/s3/6721534/IC2202

01:23:55
@Dr. Ghulam; Moodle, D2L and Canvas are Learning Management Systems (LMSs) while Crowdmark is an external tool geared to the sub-task of marking, though it can be integrated (or not) with your LMS.

01:24:56
That's exactly what I am asking. Thanks! :-)

01:26:45
Can we grade subjective type questions automatically. What I understand in Crowdmark graders will grade the questions manually.

01:26:58
perfect, thanks!

01:27:14
How does the written student work get into the Crowdmark system? Do they scan it in or take photos of it themselves. I've never seen Crowdmark in action and have been trying to imagine it from your descriptions of how you used it.

01:28:45
Thanks Stephanie - just hit the sync button.

01:28:53
Feel free to reach out to support@crowdmark.com to get more information on how permissions work. In the meantime, you can visit https://crowdmark.com/help/what-is-the-difference-between-roles/ for more info.

01:30:05
Thanks.

01:32:02
For assigned assessments with online students, do the students need to print their pages to write on them? Or is there an all-digital workflow they could use?

01:33:07
so you need a high volume scanner?? And how does it keep track of which paper goes with which student? So each exam has a unique QR code?

01:34:59
thanks

01:36:28

01:36:29
Students can take pictures with their smartphones, scan, screenshot or print work to PDF, then they upload those files to CM.

01:37:27
@Dr. Ashar Ghulam asked:Can we grade subjective type questions automatically. What I understand in Crowdmark graders will grade the questions manually.

01:37:29
Multiple choice are graded automatically. Otherwise, CM is designed to make grading and feedback easier and quicker, but not designed to remove the grader entirely. CM views grading as a dialogue between students and teachers.

01:38:11
@Douglas Orme1) Does Crowdmark stay up to date with changes in the SIS late adds & drops (i.e. constant auto-synch w/ class roster from SIS)?No, the sync is manual and would be initiated by the instructor. We recommend syncing before sending out assessments to make sure the roster is up to date, especially before the add/drop date.2) And, can the instructor assign marking to TAs by manually created groups or only by SIS-generated section enrolments?Currently grading assignments within Crowdmark are limited to sections, but manual TA grading assignments are a feature we’re working on currently.

01:38:17
Thank you for your participation! Before leaving, please don’t forget to fill out our evaluation: https://survey.alchemer.com/s3/6721534/IC2202
