👋Blake here from https://edupack.dev .. we’re automating governance campus web services. Super interested in how Kuali Build works with Garret!

01:26:30
Garret - what advice do you have for us who work for leaders convinced that Microsoft Forms or PowerApps should be able to meet all forms needs, even at the department level? And leaders who seem to think that non-enterprise forms/workflow are not a high priority?

01:28:24
We appreciate your feedback! As we continue with our session, please take note of our brief session evaluation and fill it out before leaving the online room today: https://survey.alchemer.com/s3/6688390/IC2201

01:28:52
As we head toward our Q & A, please send any questions to us for Garret and Liz.

01:29:04
That’s a great question @slpierce ! We’ll make sure we get to this in our Q&A.

01:30:10
There are a number of solutions available - the main leverage to adoption was folks that tried and succeeded, sharing their experience. I would suggest giving it a try, and comparing features and capabilities (that Kuali will absolutely help with 🙂 then you can decide strategy that works for your institution

01:32:10
Also, re: the non-enterprise forms question, that’s the sweetspot that we found Build fits well for us.

01:33:35
OnBase gives us a highly customizable interface, as well as serving as the enterprise document repository. Requires technical resources to design and implement (so higher cost, but more highly customizable). Of note, we also did an API to drop Kuali Forms outputs (as a pdf) into our OnBase repository

01:35:51
Build just added a signature widget (Kuali folks can add technical details) - our internal approvals are (by policy, we did an exec policy to support this) good to go with click to approve based on our institutional SSO

01:37:13
APIs are a key part of the integrations (the APIs require your integration resources to create the APIs) … and yes, we already have both Banner and PeopleSoft integrations in place

01:38:14
How about support for returning submissions for further editing? Thinking Practicum proposals that have some back and forth in the approval process and keeping them all in one workflow per.

01:38:49
Includes send-back, and similar workflow supports to do updates ...

01:39:02
Great.

01:40:40
Is there a business case to Build versus MS Power Platform which is included in our university enterprise license?

01:42:25
Without sounding like a sales dude, give it a try and see what works for you 🙂

01:42:40
Thanks!
